There is a call out for knitted microbes. You can read all about it here. I'm sure the knitting community will answer. I remember when knitters were asked for sweaters for penguins. The response was so overwhelming eventually the requesting group had to ask us to please stop sending the sweaters. ETA here's an update on the penguin sweater fiasco.
